(1) Find the perfect hair cut or color (2) Look at photos (some stylists don’t like photos but they give the stylist a visual idea as to what you’re looking for in the finished style on you) (3) This helps to prevent miscommunication and an unpleasant experience (4) Know your style and don’t let the stylist talk you into something you’re unsure of.

How Long Will It Take (hair basics tip #1)
Haircuts – should only take 30-45 minutes (including style) by an experienced stylist. Click here for our hairstyles for men gallery.
Perms (hair basics tip #2) 2 hours for a basic perm and up to 4 hours for a spiral or designer perm with cut and style.
Color (hair basics tip #3) – 1 to 2 hours for allover (1) color, 1 to 2 hours for highlights and 1.5+ hours for corrective color. Click here for our color information page.
(1) Find out when you should return for a follow up (trim or retouch) (2) If you have questions please ASK them (3) Most stylists enjoy educating their clients and it’s a great ice breaker (4) This is your time to learn as much as you can so you can do it at home (5) During your appointment keep the topic on your hair. Getting off topic can take the stylists focus and attention away from your hair
