Extended wear hair braid or twist styles

What is the best twist or braid style to wear for an extended period of time (1-2 months)? I am deployed to the desert and would like to avoid a lot stress or heat on my hair. Also do you have a recommendation for a brand of hair to add as extensions?

Remy human hair is a great hair extension. You could have someone cornrow your hair. But that may only last about a month. You'll need to redo it while you're there.. That's really the best way to braid if you can't maintain it for a while.
