Hair and Salon Tipping - Response to Kennedy

by MK
(Charlotte NC Area)

Hi Kennedy!!

Thank you so much for your response! And I apologize for taking too long to ask another question...and hope you have time to respond again.

I visit a great salon and want to treat them right (*sigh* on no income but even with income I want to treat them right)! I am a baker and bring baked goodies - blah - I know not appreciated on the waist line :) It is so difficult to find someone who knows how to handle your hair! I enjoy my visits!! Sometimes I get double teamed but it gets mixed up in the color/shampoo/dry area...only one cuts... but sometimes get double teamed with color and dry.

1) The easy way (for me) one stylist, does it all - color, shampoo, dry, cut.

2) One stylist does color, another shampoos, they both dry, then one cuts.

3) One stylist does color & shampoo, two dry, then one cuts.

4) Two stylists do color, one shampoos, one dries then cuts.

5) Two stylists do color, one shampoos, then two dry and one cuts.

6) One stylist does color & shampoo, both dry, one cuts.

7) One stylist does color, another shampoos, then initial stylist dries & cuts.

* Usually only two stylists total with salon owner/lead stylist involved with color/dry/cut

I know, I'm confusing... :)

:)

Thank you for visiting our site! We hope you are enjoying it.
When tipping more than one stylist usually the one that does more gets tipped more. If they do equal amounts then I recommend tipping the same amount..
If you have a stylist that shampoos you might give $2-$10 (depending on the type of salon)
If you then have one that cuts/colors then you might want to give them $10-$25 (again depending on the type of salon).
These are just a few examples.
Any other questions or if you're looking for more clarification please feel free to contact us again.
Thank You
-Kennedy-
