hair Winter Blues

by Jennifer
(Washington)

Winter in Washington State is very dreary. Endless drizzle, impenetrable fog and only rare appearances by the sun!

I have really thick, blond, curly hair. I normally keep it just past shoulder length and often wear ponytails or clips to keep it out of my face. I made an appointment at my usual salon but wasn't positive at that point if I was just going to freshen my current cut or change it up. I have a method for making this decision...My friends tease me about it, but it works for me!: If the stylist has cute hair, I will go for a new look. If she doesn't, I stick with my current cut. That's it- no other thought. So far, its worked out!

Anyhow, Dawn (the stylist) had cute hair, and as a bonus, its naturally curly. She took a lot of time discussing what I wanted, made a few suggestions and then got to it. She shampoo'd and cut, then dried my hair, straightened it and cut again. It was the first time I've had anyone cut my hair dry and it was awesome! My cut is perfect! I have gotten tons and tons of compliments on my new hair and I LOVE it!

What better way to beat the winter blues than with a new do?

That's great that works for you. I know a lot of people who do it that way. Just be careful and remember they didn't cut or color their hair. They just styled it (in most cases) some have it styled at work when they get there..
Thanks
