Choosing the right hairstyle amongst thousands of amazing long hairstyles is probably one of the most difficult decisions that anyone can make when appearance is so important no matter where you go.
Long hair is anything past your shoulders.
If you have long hair or want long hair, you need to know you have to take good care of it. Keep it moisturized, healthy, and tangle free.
No matter what anyone says, there is NOT a miracle pill to grow your hair faster! Your hair grows an average of a ½ inch a month. Some a little faster, some slower. That’s 6 inches a year. To maintain long hair, you need to get regular trims. Trimming your hair ever 6-8 weeks is about average for someone with long hair. You don’t want to trim it too often or you’ll only be cutting it shorter each time. If you keep some distance between trims you can still grow your hair, but at the same time keep it clean. Also, ensure that if you do use a flat iron that it is a ceramic flat iron because other plate types, such as on titanium flat irons, may not create the protection you need to maintain healthy long hair.
If you wait months in between getting a trim and feel like your hair isn’t growing past a certain point is because you have split ends and they are only going to continue to split the longer you wait to cut them. The only way to get rid of split ends is to cut above the split. Regular trims (but not too often) will help your hair grow keeping it healthy!
